| WORLD POSITIONS Shicho - A shicho is someone who is allied with a daimyo, even though the daimyo rules the entire country, his eyes can not be 'every where' so to speak. The purpose of a shicho is to govern their region of the land, these people have the power to enforce their own laws while still following an absolute law placed by the daimyo. Daimyo - Daimyo's are individuals in the roleplay to be thought of as country leaders, they can also be clan heads if they have their own. But if a Daimyo is active with governing war, and politics he will be considered a warlord to some. If the Daimyo doesn't jump on the battle field, then he is just a Daimyo. As the country leader you are obligated to do what you wish, such as taxing your people for money, building alliances, setting up training camps to increase the military strength, funding charities, and urging commerce with other provinces, and nations. It is your country to rule, and no one can tell you what to do. You can even commence with wars. Shogunate - The shoguns are political entities with plenty control over every country. They are a secret society many fear, even Daimyos. Getting into an inconvenience with the shogunate doesn't only subject you to death and going to prison for the rest of your life. You could possibly be tortured by them in many ways, they are absolute in the world of Soul Japan. What they say and do always goes, failing to comply could mean the loss of a family, or yours. Some of these men and women can be sick if they please with all their power. For the most part these people stay in the shadows, and quietly pull the strings. Emperor - Being an emperor is something no one has achieved in history and is something people stay away from. One would have to unify the great provinces with peace or force to earn this title, the reason why Emperor is looked down on is because it is associated with men becoming drunk with power which leads to dictatorship. The world would be forced under one ruler and the individuality of every province would crumble, the world would also run under new political systems. Not even the shoguns can stop a person of this status through politics. Things don't have to be cruel either, whoever has a kind heart could run the world benevolently but eventually with this much power they could as well become corrupt. A person of this status can do as they please with the economic systems of the world. | |

| EARNING WORLD TITLES Earning world titles such as the three listed above, one must go through special missions and successfully meet its objectives. Requesting these titles in a thread cannot be done, however there may be more than one candidate applying for these titles. In some cases it will be first come first served, in other cases there can be political battles where rpc's can have debates and another group of rpc's can stand watch and vote on who they want to elect as a leader. Or the two rpc's who wish to be elected as daimyo can battle each other for dominance. After becoming a daimyo you have the power to choose your successor, and set your own missions for those who wish to become daimyo of your country. Or you can make it a blood line thing, in either case you can think of yourself as a normal monarch now. However, when everyone is starting out with trying to obtain this title they will have to go through a default selection of missions made by mods. This goes for the shogunate as well. BUSINESS SYSTEM Soul Samurai has its own business system, this means the role-play has aspects of adventure, action, and now politics. The political aspects of the RPG doesn't have to be experienced by everyone; for those interested in making money, and developing power will have fun. Beginning with trade, having sovereign over a country should mean you're the daimyo. It is your duty to cultivate the land in order to generate income for yourself, and the people so the country can thrive. This can be done in a number of ways, taxing everyone within the province by a monthly (weekly) percentage, forming alliances with neighboring countries, creating charities so the people can learn things such as commerce, influencing future traders to get a business license to create a shop in the land where it is mandatory they are taxed.
If you do not invest in your country nothing will come of it no matter what type of leader you are. Individuals who wish to run their own business must first perform a mission/job in any country, and province they want. After completing the mission you must purchase the license. Once you have a licence you have the opportunity to cease power! Whatever your business is, you'll be able to sell ramen, fleet ships. Earn enough money and you can expand your business making it global but that also means you'd have to purchase another booth/building for your business. When your selling things, you'll need product, this product can be bought from a role-play shop to help you stock on supplies. After purchasing a booth a moderator will set up a forum for your shop where role-players can go and buy things. Their cash will become your funds and increase funds for more business. ILLEGAL BUSINESS SYSTEM To begin the introduction of Soul Samurai's illegal business system, I pray no one feels offended, or see's this as a reflection of themselves. The dynamics the illegal side of things add to the role-play are dark which ultimately makes soul samurai rated R. Doing illegal business, one does not need to purchase a license or do a mission to be qualified; they can simply do as they wish. Illegal business has aspects of human trafficking which has elements of forced labor, selling of organs, and prostitution (don't be graphic with sex scenes, keep it PG-13). There are a variety of ways this system can be manipulated, because it is not only your average man involving himself in these repulsive activities. Men of authority such as the shogunate, daimyo, and shicho go behind the public's back time to time and buy prostitutes, disgraceful weapons of destruction. These people even have the power to run a secret business, but as stated, anyone can involve themselves in this.

| CURRENCY
This section will discuss how currency works for a role-player with no business, and a role-player with one, along with a province owner, and a daimyo. A normal role-player's currency like everyone else's will be recorded in their time-log where they will update the funds they received from a job, adventure or mission. After that information has been recorded, he/she needs to make another update to their character bank where only gold/cash can be added. By role-players going to role-play shops, they fund a percentage of their money into the current province they reside within (or passing through). This percentage of gold is then sent to the shicho of the province, and a percentage of that gold is sent to the daimyo of the country. - Daimyo and Shicho currency details:
As stated before, a daimyo or a shicho have the power to tax their people for specific reasons. The land needs money to multiply their resources. This makes the land stronger and holds a better living for its people (hopefully). Based on the percentage a daimyo gives his shichos, they are obligated to tax business owners, and people who buy homes on the country's land. For example, a daimyo's rule could be to tax all they lands by 70% or lower based on its income. Say you're a shicho and your province has a total of 500,000 gold, you would have to give 350,000 gold to your daimyo so the entire country can remain supported. This money allows people to start businesses up, and keep them maintained, it basically aids your entire economic system. Once the money is given to the daimyo it is ultimately up to them how they choose to spend the countries money.
As for Shicho's, as stated they would have to tax their people as well by a small percent, which could be 7 to 10%. This would be for every business within your province because you have to pay your daimyo. Also, their tax money is sent to the province's bank where loans are given to up and coming businesses owners.
Business owners cannot tax anyone who comes to their shop, but based on what the shicho of the land decides, this means more money for business owners. Before jumping into the subject about how much business owners art taxed, I will start with normal civilians. If you happen to go to a store and you find something you like and it costs 400 gold. You'll pay the gold but if the shicho has taxes up to 7%, you'll have to multiply 7% (400) which is 28, then you'll have to add 400 to 28, making your total 428 gold. Prices vary from land to land. Some taxes rate for province may increase as the population grew bigger. For example, a province who has 25k people living in it being taxed for a 10% tax rate and so if 5,000 people were added to the population would have a increase of 5% tax more. - Business Owners:
It is no mystery business owners make more cash than everyone, and with every 2 months (real time), their will be a tax collection on them. A business owner has to be taxed higher than the regular civilians because the generate a higher income. If you're affiliated with government forces of any country, you will be taxed 2% on anything you buy. For individuals who are employees of a business, it is up to a shicho on how much you are taxed. Now understand that if you're taxed, that means you lose money, if you're upset with this, form some political union and make a change in the community that benefits everyone alike. And finally, there will be no taxes placed on role-play missions, adventures and jobs.
